The 1969-S United States Mint Proof Set features five beautifully struck proof coins produced at the San Francisco Mint. Each coin displays brilliant mirrored fields and frosted design details, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship of the United States Mint. This annual Proof Set is especially popular because it contains the final proof Kennedy Half Dollar struck in 40% silver for regular annual proof sets of the era.

The set includes:

1969-S Lincoln Cent

1969-S Jefferson Nickel

1969-S Roosevelt Dime

1969-S Washington Quarter

1969-S Kennedy Half Dollar – 40% silver

The Kennedy Half Dollar contains approximately 0.1479 troy ounce of pure silver. The remaining four coins are struck in their standard copper and clad compositions. The set was originally issued in the official United States Mint blue presentation box with a clear protective hard plastic lens and was sold for $5.00. A total of 2,934,631 sets were produced. An interesting variety to watch for is the rare 1969-S Doubled Die Obverse Washington Quarter, making unopened original sets appealing to collectors.
