1965 Kennedy Half Dollar 40% Proof Uncirculated

In 1965, a Special Mint Set of higher-than-normal quality was made at the San  Francisco Mint to substitute for the Proof Set, which was not made for that year.  During that year, the Kennedy half was minted on 40% silver (clad) planchets  for the first time.
